P C Henderson Attends Assa Abloy Security Solutions Conference and Meets Key Chinese Partners

So far, 2017 has been filled with some exciting events and developments at P C Henderson. New product launches, a brand new website and the celebration of the company’s 96th birthday are just some of the highlights.
Most recently, Andrew Royle, P C Henderson’s Sales and Marketing Director, embarked on a visit to China to meet face to face to with some major distributors and also attend the annual Assa Abloy Security Solutions Conference alongside Assa Abloy’s Sales Development Manager for Sliding and Folding Door Hardware, Julius Zhu.
The annual conference aims to bring together the entire Assa Abloy CPS sales team along with its key distributors from throughout China. Attending the conference was a great opportunity for P C Henderson to raise its brand profile and product portfolio to a wide selection of distributors as well as provide a presentation on P C Henderson’s history of operating in China which spans almost 100 years.
Over the course of a week, Andrew met with a number of key distributors from around the country. The aim of this was to meet with customers face to face allowing P C Henderson to gain a valuable insight into understanding market conditions and the challenges that customers face within. P C Henderson also wanted to use this opportunity to demonstrate a direct commitment to Assa Abloy China and its local markets.
Andrew commented: “The trip was extremely successful with some very productive meetings held and the Annual Conference was a privilege for us to attend. The intelligence gained from meeting the Assa Abloy teams, for example, will provide Henderson with clear objectives to work towards. Understanding local market challenges and hearing the voice of the customer first hand has provided us with an extremely valuable new perspective of the Chinese market, its customs and complexities. Speaking to customers first hand is the only way to gain a true understanding of what we need to do as a company to meet market need”.
“Some of our products have also recently been specified in the Four Seasons Hotel in Tianjin, so it was a great opportunity to visit the site and see some of our products used across the luxury development.”
Overall the trip was a huge success, P C Henderson was able to build relationships with key distributors by meeting in person, re-establishing the nearly 100 year heritage Henderson has in China. Combined with having a factory in the country, distributors will now have a renewed confidence that the P C Henderson brand and product offering is capable of meeting their project objectives and remain competitive.
